WHAT INFORMATION DOES ELAW GATHER AND/OR TRACK ABOUT YOU?
Personally Identifying Information
Free E-Mails: When you sign-up to receive free ELAW e-mail information bulletins, ELAW requires that you supply your name and e-mail address. ELAW Products: When you register to receive ELAW products, whether those products are free or paid, ELAW requires that you supply your full name, e-mail address, contact information, and a unique subscriber ID. ELAW may also require demographic information (e.g., whether you are an attorney and for what type of entity you work). Customers must also agree to the Terms of Use applicable to the product for which they are registering. In some instances, we also collect credit card information to bill subscribers for premium products.

Anonymous Information
ELAW may also gather anonymous information, which may be used by ELAW or shared with third parties. This information does not personally identify you but may be helpful for improving the services we offer. Generally this information is collected through "traffic data" and may entail the use of "cookies," "IP addresses," or other numeric codes used to identify a computer.

Cookies: "Cookies" give users a special, random ID which are small text files, which are stored on the hard drive of a user's computer. ELAW employs cookies to recognize you and your access privileges for certain locations on the Website as well as to track site usage. Credit Card Information: If you use a credit card to pay for an ELAW product, we may retain your credit card information in order to renew your account in the event you elect to renew your subscription. When we do retain credit card information, we keep it secure and separate from other demographic information you may have given us. We do not share credit card information internally within divisions of ELAW.

Personally Identifying Information
ELAW takes the privacy of its customers seriously. You have the ability to control how we use your personally identifying information by telling us if you wish to opt-out of certain uses of your information, as described in greater detail in the "Opting Out" provision below.

ELAW may, on occasion, choose to share personally identifying information collected about subscribers with select third parties whose products or services we feel may be of interest to you. Many of our subscribers find these e-mail promotions valuable, whether they are shopping for merchandise, taking advantage of a special offer, or purchasing unique services. Organizational Changes
Should ELAW undergo a sales, merger, consolidation, change in control, transfer of substantial assets, reorganization or liquidation, ELAW's accumulated customer information will be treated as an asset and, like other business assets, subject to transfer to or acquisition by a third party.

Customer Requests for Personal Information
Upon your request, ELAW will provide you with its record of the personal information you gave us at registration. For security reasons, this information will only be sent to the e-mail address on file for the subscriber ID associated with it. Correspondence with ELAW: If you send ELAW personal correspondence, such as e-mails or letters, or if other users or third parties send correspondence to ELAW about your activities or postings on the Website, ELAW may collect such information into a file specific to you. Statistical Analysis and Banner Advertising
ELAW may perform statistical analyses of user behavior in order to measure interest in the various areas of our site (for product development purposes) and to inform advertisers as to how many consumers have seen or "clicked" their advertising banners.
